  • Command line: PUBLISH (Alias PUB)

Output tab, Plot & Publish group
Output tab, Plot & Publish group

Steps

  1. Set up all your Layouts (paper size, title block, viewports).
  2. Type PUB and press Enter.
  3. Choose a file name (default <drawing name>-published.pdf) and click Save.

Note: To combine several drawing files into one PDF set, use Sheet Set Manager.

Try it: Workbench drawing set in one PDF

A 1500 x 700 workbench with a top view and a front view. Model space plus two layouts go out as one three-page PDF that the workshop can print in one go.

  1. Top view: REC 0,900 → 1500 Tab 700, vice pad REC 100,1450 → 300 Tab 100, grommet hole C 1300,1500 radius 40.
  2. Front view: worktop REC 0,0 → 1500 Tab 40, legs REC 40,-860 → 60 Tab 860 and REC 1400,-860 → 60 Tab 860, rails REC 40,-700 → 1420 Tab 40 and REC 40,-820 → 1420 Tab 20. Title: DT height 60, WORKBENCH 1500 x 700 at about 0,1650.
  3. Click the Layout1 tab (A4). A viewport fitted to the bench appears.
  4. Type LAYOUT New Layout2, click the Layout2 tab, type PAGESETUP A3 Landscape and drag the viewport's corner so it fills the larger sheet.
  5. Type PUB and save workbench-published.pdf. The PDF has three pages: Model fitted to A4, Layout1 on A4 and Layout2 on A3.

The three sheets that go into the PDF: Model, Layout1 (A4) and Layout2 (A3)
The three sheets that go into the PDF: Model, Layout1 (A4) and Layout2 (A3)

Challenge: Put a title block on both layouts before you publish, and fill in a different drawing number on each.
