Send information to support

Give us the Release version from Help › About, your Machine ID (Activate License window › Copy ID), and the steps that cause the problem. Keep Options › General › Diagnostics on so that reports are sent automatically when the program hangs or closes unexpectedly (no drawing data is sent).

Try it: A hotel lobby plan opens to a blank screen

Scenario: a contractor sends a hotel lobby plan. It opens blank, and once you can see it, the dashed lines look solid. Work through it step by step.

  1. Type ZE. If the drawing sits far from the current view, it zooms to show everything at once.
  2. Still blank? Type LAYON, then LAYTHW, to turn on and thaw every layer.
  3. Column grid lines that should be dashed look solid: the drawing is in millimetres, so try LTSCALE 20 and adjust until the dashes are clear.
  4. You cannot select anything: the layer is locked. Use LAYULK.
  5. Before you send it back, run AUDIT to check for bad objects. See AUDIT, RECOVER and PURGE.
