Export PDF, DXF, DWG and Print

Export the drawing as PDF, DXF or DWG, print it, and save .metdrw.

What it does

Exports or prints the current sheet.

Command Result
Export PDF A4/A3 PDF to match the sheet, in the sheet orientation, with no margin
Export DXF DXF R2010 in mm (polylines, text)
Export DWG DWG (AutoCAD 2018) through the DWG converter that comes with the program (nothing extra to install). An installed ODA File Converter is used as a fallback.
Print Preview Preview before printing (landscape, fit to page)
Print Prints to a printer
Save .metdrw Saves the MECHCAD drawing
Pack Refs Copies the drawing and the part files it refers to into one folder

Steps

  1. Go to the Output tab.
  2. Click an Export command and choose a file name.

Note: If the conversion fails you see DWG conversion failed and the destination file is not changed. Try again, or use Export DXF instead.
